How Does Someone Develop Precognition

By Kelsey Allan

Precognition can be defined as a talent to know the future events before they actually take place. Sometimes, these kinds of realizations are symbolic which means you need to decipher the symbols, at other times they are in part and rarely a person can peek into the complete future. Most people believe that time is not a linear but a spiral variant. This is why at times you are allowed to peak into the future at times.

Understanding precognition is essential to really know how it happens. Most people confuse precognition with clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is the ability to see people, situations and problems in the present while precognition concerns the future. Clairvoyance uses ESP or Extra Sensory perception while precognition is more paranormal in nature. The word 'precognition' means knowing before.

The most common way to experience precognition is through dreams. Most people dream about the future sometime or the other, yet are unable to recall their dreams. However, there are times, they experience a sense of 'dejavu' and feel as if they have been there before. This is nothing but due to the precognition experienced in their dreams.

It is possible for a trained mystic to see the future on a regular basis while they are awake. This is only possible if they have devoted a large amount of practice and it is still very uncommon. These mystics or seers make use of their conscious to allow them to see the future.

There are even some psychics that use things like a mirror or a crystal ball to aid them in their precognition.

Precognition can be achieved by anyone. All you need to do is to sharpen your intuitive abilities. An average person does not think beyond his five senses. He does not listen to his intuition or gut feel. You need to start listening to your intuition or gut feel to enhance your precognitive abilities. Paying attention to subtle environment around you and believing in your subtle senses is an important step to develop precognition.

People don't realize that they are more than just a mere physical body. Their emotions and energies are also a part of their make up. Hence, you need to pay attention to how you feel on a particular day to know in advance, what the day may bring to you. You can develop your precognitive abilities by playing guessing games. Take a pack of playing cards and try guessing which card will come next.

Your precognitive abilities make use of your dreams as an instrument for their development. You should begin keeping track of the dreams that you have each time you wake up. Put adream journal close by the bed to make it easier. You should include as many of the details as you can remember and do it right when you wake up. If you are not to good at writing or that wouldn't work for you then try using a small tape recorder and recording the dream in your own words as soon as you wake up. Once you have done this for a while you will find that you are able to remember the dreams much easier than you have in the past.

When dreams repeat themselves you should take time to look for meanings that are hidden in the dream or for symbols or signs that will help you understand the meaning that is underneath the dream.

Apart from dreams, you can even develop precognition by meditation and hypnosis. Meditation is the art of quietening your mind and opening it up to the supreme consciousness of the universe. It's generally believed that we all have one life force flowing in all of us and hence all are connected by a common link. Once you clear the daily chaos in your mind and quieten it, then you can connect to the supreme consciousness and know the future and the past.

Meditation is not a new method. It has been used by millions of seers, thinkers and sages across the world. There are different ways of meditating as well. Some people meditate in absolute solitude and quiet, while others prefer more natural sounds. Whatever way you may choose, initially your mind may wander and you may have a variety of thoughts. Just concentrate on stilling your mind and observing the thoughts, rather than getting involved in them. Slowly you will be able to access the wealth of information stored in the consciousness of the universe.

One barrier that we have to overcome when we begin the quest to develop precognition is fear. Many people are very afraid of the future because the end is always death and not being around the people they love any longer. The universal information is blocked by the fear. That is why it is so important to rid your psyche of fear in order to develop precognition. It is simple to develop precognition. It simply takes continuous commitment and a lot of practice.
